Socials 8 - World Religions
World Religions Project
To research the religion you've chosen to study, you should use both books and the internet. I've provided your class with some books about each religion, but they are checked out to your teacher. If you need to take them home, please ask your teacher first, then bring the book to the MRC and check it out.
Anti-bullying information
The newest part of your world religions project is to consider how your chosen religion would deal with bullying.
Have a look at the following websites to learn about some different types of anti-bullying campaigns and what their goals are.
Think about:
What kind of print material they have
What kind of visual material they have (videos, posters, etc)
How they get people's attention
How they use social media like Facebook and Twitter
How they try to get people involved
What topics about bullying they cover (gender? warning signs? effects?)
